It was far too hot outside.

Far too hot, and humid to boot, which found Niki indoors and annoying waitresses by ordering glass after glass of absolutely non-alcoholic lemonade, despite the lateness of the hour.

Apparently nobody was a teetotaller, in Vegas.

General

Name: Niki Sanders/Jessica Sanders

Birthday: January 17th, 1976

Place of Residence: Las Vegas, NV

Ability: REVISED: self-manipulation, the most commonly used aspect of which is altering her musculature to gain extra strength. As yet, Jessica is the only one who knows how to do this, although Niki has done it unconsciously in The Fix, and Jessica only really knows how to use it to make herself stronger, as her most driving need is to be strong, to protect.
Theoretically, the power could be used to change her muscular density, to up her strength; to increase her speed a bit by changing her internal structure to make her bones lighter; to make her muscle-and-bone structure more catlike for grace. She could change her fingerprints, although that sort of fine manipulation would take great control, and other minor cosmetic changes, although she is not a shapeshifter.
At this point in time, Jessica is the only one who can control the ability, as Niki is much more passive and doesn't have the driving force of Jessica's violence. Even so, Jessica can only make herself stronger; further access to the ability would require study and practice, and Niki gaining knowledge of it at all.

Monetary Situation: moderate, thanks to her job as Linderman's assassin. Not exactly weathly, but they're not struggling anymore

Affiliations/Organizations: Linderman (as Jessica); neutral as Niki

Side of the Conflict and Why: Niki has NO IDEA that there even is a conflict. She does not like Linderman, and she tentatively likes Nathan, although she'd like him a hell of a lot better if he'd help her more. (She does understand why he can't though.) Jessica doesn't mind Linderman; he got her out of prison and he pays her. What's not to like?
Neither of them would be particularly happy about the idea of some guy eating their brain.

Height: Five foot seven. Not tall, not exactly short, either.

Hair Colour & Style: blonde, long. She usually keeps it loose, pulling it back into a ponytail if she's doing strenuous work or wanting to look more businesslike.

Build: Niki's got a medium build; she's not stick-thin, but she's not exactly heavy, either. She carries her weight fairly well, and a fair amount of it is muscle.

Skin Colour: Caucasian.

Clothing Style: Niki prefers trousers over skirts, unless she's trying to look professional or more feminine. She wears jeans and bright colours fairly frequently. Jessica prefers trousers as well, for mobility and functionality, and chooses darker colours.

Distinguishing Marks: A tattoo on her shoulder that only appears when Jessica is in control, of an RNA-like symbol.

Family

Parents: Hal Sanders, father; Belinda Sanders, mother, deceased.

Siblings: Jessica Sanders, deceased.

Brief Family History: Niki's family history is turbulent at best. When she and her sister were both alive, their father used to get drunk frequently and would beat them; Jessica took the brunt of the violence, to protect Niki. Hal killed Jessica when the twins were eleven; it's unclear as to whether it was an accident or a drunken rage. Niki doesn't remember this, and indeed only remembers that Hal left her; she resents him for this, but doesn't hate him the way that Jessica does. She met D.L. Hawkins soon after high school and they had a son together, Micah. Despite initially believing that D.L. killed the men whose murder he was put away for, Niki still loves him, even after their fight and his subsequent fleeing with Micah. Jessica doesn't care for D.L., believing him responsible for bringing danger to their family.

Personality

First Impression (others have of you): If Niki is in control, then the first impression is likely to be that of a confident, yet somewhat timid woman, unless for some reason she's putting on an act. Unless she's deliberately trying to appear empty-headed, she generally comes across as intelligent. If Jessica is in control, then the first impression is most definitely one of an assertive, in-control woman who doesn't mince words or take much lightly.

Life Philosophy: Niki just wants to be left alone, to be safe with her family. She's of the opinion that nothing comes without a price, and that nobody is worth trusting unless they've proven themselves. Jessica's life philosophy is generally "kill or be killed", and she's more than willing to fulfil the "be killed" part of the adage. Like Niki, she thinks that nobody is worth trusting until they prove themselves.

General Behavior: Niki covers her fears with a facade of cheerful, confident behaviour; she's often afraid inside, of Jessica or for her family. She follows the law when she can, although she will break it for her family. She has a strong moral code that includes not sleeping with married men but doesn't include not stripping online for cash; it certainly includes not murdering people. Jessica's behaviour is tailored to whatever situation she finds herself in, but it's generally assertive and violent. She can be aggressively sexual at times, and has no compunctions about lying, cheating, stealing or murdering to get to the top.

Quirks & Habits: Niki has a habit of avoiding eye contact with mirrors, ever since realising what Jessica was. Seeing her alter ego in the mirror makes her nervous. She fiddles with any jewelry she might be wearing when she's overly nervous or frightened. Jessica's habits tend to be more foot-tapping and casing the area for weak spots or threats.

Flaws: Niki, while intelligent, is very timid, naive and easily frightened. It's not that difficult to intimidate her into doing something for you, although of course you run the risk of bringing Jessica to the fore. She can't control the super-strength like Jessica can, and she's very easily discouraged.
Jessica has no patience, and no compassion. She acts on impulse and she rarely plans ahead, and it's fairly easy to disrupt her by doing something she hadn't expected or bargained for. She has a tendency to underestimate people. She also shares Niki's weakness for children in general and Micah in particular.

Likes: Niki loves children, especially Micah. She likes bright colours and pretty jewelry. In people, she likes gentleness. She likes keeping busy, doing things with her mind as well as physically.
Jessica loves Micah, but can take or leave most other people. She likes physical activity and she likes violence, whether participating or watching. She gets a rush from overpowering people, and from fooling them.

Dislikes: Niki dislikes drinkers, a throwback from Hal and her own alcoholism. She dislikes people who are overly aggressive, and she hates duplicitous and overbearing people.
Jessica hates weakness, whether her own, Niki's or someone else's. She hates being talked down to, and she hates people threatening Niki or Micah. She hates Hal most of all.

Social/Romantic

Close Friendships: Tina; she has no other close relationships.

Known Enemies: Linderman, in a way; no other real enmities.

Sexuality: bisexual. Niki stays faithful to D.L., but Jessica is willing to use sex to further her ambitions, or just because she wants to.

Turn Ons: Niki: romantic gestures, gentleness. Soft, dark eyes. Candlelight and dancing - if it's quiet dancing.
Jessica: domination (on her part), the sense of something being forbidden, mild-to-moderate violence. Control.

Turn Offs: Niki: roughness, boorishness, dirty talk. People who hate children. Flashy, loud dance clubs - she likes dancing at them, but they don't make her feel like sex, really.
Jessica: weakness, uncertainty. The smell of fabric softener - it's too homey. Any guy who talks like he has a right to her.

Past Relationships: D.L. Hawkins; a boyfriend in high school called Kenneth Warner; a fling with a girl, Cailey Jefferson, when she was nineteen. Nathan Petrelli. (If it weren't for D.L. and Nathan's wife, she might be inclined to pursue that one.)

Attitude Toward Sex: Niki thinks sex should be about love, although she's capable of separating sex and sexuality. She enjoys sex, but she prefers there be a bond between the participants. She's not exactly vanilla, but she's far from kinky.
Jessica thinks sex is either a fun pastime, or a means to an end. She enjoys it best when she's in control of the situation, often prefering to outright dominate. She doesn't particularly care if there's a bond or not, as long as she's screwing someone attractive.

Attitude Toward Love: Niki wants to believe in love, and almost does, with D.L.; despite their tumultuous relationship, he has come through for her, and that means a lot to her. Actions are more important in proving love than words are.
Jessica thinks love is for idiots.

The Fun Stuff

Favorite drink order: Neither Niki nor Jessica drink anymore; Niki because she's afraid of losing control the way alcoholism makes her and also because she needs to be as strong as she can for Micah and D.L., and Jessica because she doesn't want to be dependent on anything, whether another person or alcohol.

How many drinks does it take you to get drunk?: About two standard drinks to get tipsy; another couple to get drunk.

To pass out face-down in a puddle of lukewarm beer?: Say about six.

Name the three characters you'd most like to bed: Niki: D.L., Mohinder, Peter. (Perceived) gentleness and intelligence win out.
Jessica: ...Nathan. Sylar, if he could be convinced not to chow down on blonde brain. Claire - leaving marks is fun, having the ability to make new ones over and over even moreso.

Describe your first sexual encounter: Very awkward-yet-sweet, fumbling teenage sex in Kenneth Warner's parents' bedroom when she was sixteen. He liked playing with her breasts, she had very little clue what to look at and thus spent most of the encounter either with her eyes closed or staring at the freckles on his chest. Secret: Kenneth has a cluster of freckles shaped like a piece of broccoli. It hurt a little, but he was very sweet and he gave her a lovely backrub afterwards. It wasn't great sex, because let's face it, they were both virgins, but it was fun.
